Virtual Directory
We supply Virtual Directory solutions which can achieve full benefits of web access management, identity management, and services provisioning as well as portal deployments which have long been elusive for many organisations due to the complexity of the identity integration effort.
Successful portal and identity management projects start with a flexible, scalable identity infrastructure. Over time, integration requirements evolve, and choosing the right platform that can adapt is the key to cost-effective deployment.
We offer the following solutions:

Radiant Logic Virtual Directory Server (VDS) is a flexible and comprehensive identity infrastructure designed to integrate identities and match them to application requirements. In 2008 the Burton Group identified RadiantOne VDS as standing out against competing products in many areas including; sophisticated caching options with real time event detection, ability to understand and manage complex object relationships, and support for Web Services. By virtualising the directory service, identity infrastructure doesn't have to be one-size-fits all. A virtual directory tree structure (its view) can be customised to meet new requirements, or new views can be added without disrupting integration based on other views. Virtualisation helps organisations fully realise the benefits of portal, identity management, and e-business initiatives by leveraging all identity data, wherever it exists.
This solution:
- Provides fast deployment.
- Delivers identities through high performance, scalable, and fault resistant LDAP v3 directory service as well as access through HTTP, SOAP, DSML, and XML.
- Solves integration challenges.
- Cuts costs for identity management projects.
- Delivers fast ROI by reducing administrative effort, simplifying integration tasks, extending the value of existing IT investments, and enabling reusability with future identity initiatives.
- Is a flexible and comprehensive identity infrastructure designed to integrate identities and match them to application requirements.
- Combines virtual directory technology with high performance directory services, dynamic access, integration and synchronisation to provide a complete identity infrastructure.
- Provides a virtual directory tree structure which can be customised to meet new requirements or new views can be added without disrupting integration based on other views.
- Store identities in the internal directory store for stand alone directory service, or write back to another directory or database.
- Improves directory availability and eliminates issues associated with data copying.
Radiant Logic Synchronisation Services provide back-end granular updates for metadirectory functionality, and use remote connectors (agent-less connection) for non-intrusive access, or local connectors for real time notifications. Unified identity features are also included to map common identities in heterogeneous data sources.
This solution provides:
- A complete identity infrastructure compatible with leading Identity Management software packages and full support for integrating with PeopleSoft.
- Design virtual views of existing data with graphically-based tools to visualise, reconfigure, and simulate.
- The ability to choose how to use other databases and directories together to deliver the most relevant, trusted identity information.
- Access identities through high performance directory services, with support for open standards such as LDAP, HTTP, SOAP and DSML.
- Secure identity data with access controls, configurable levels of authentication, and SSL/TLS encryption.
- The choice to use synchronisation or virtualisation as needed to solve the appropriate tasks.
- Assistance in setting up business rules, data audits, and change propagations.
- Granular, bi-directional synchronisation enables control over the process down to the attribute level.
- J2EE message queues and application servers (available separately) to allow transactional-quality updates across the identity environment.
- The ability to build a common identifier and locate occurrences of the user in different data sources.
- Common identifiers with RadiantOne integration tools to assemble complete profile information in an enterprise view.
Oracle Virtual Directory allows you to rapidly deploy secure directory enabled applications by providing a real-time, virtual view of identity data from any data-store including directories, databases and Web Services without synchronisation.
This solution:
- Provides Internet and industry-standard LDAP and XML views of existing organisation identity information, without synchronising or moving data from its native locations.
- Accelerates the deployment of applications.
- Reduces costs.
- Provides a virtual single point of contact for your directory enabled applications in a simple, secure fashion.
- Provides LDAP Interface to Existing Relational Databases allowing LDAP clients access to certain data without the need for any type of synchronisation.
- Joins identity attributes stored in multiple data-stores.
- Improves compliance and security.
- Improves directory scalability.
- Allows rapid deployment of directory-enabled applications by eliminating the most painful aspects of directory-deployment.
- Provides a single consistent view of data from multiple directories.
