Approach
Identity Connects™ is our framework, our established approach that delivers identity and access management projects and helps organisations realise significant business benefits.
Our aim is to create a set of methodologies and workflows that enable organisations to leverage existing IAM technologies with new ones thus maximising their existing and extended investment where they can.
Why have we taken this approach?
Many organisations are now recognising the need to properly control and prioritise identity at a level that cannot be achieved by traditional silo based approaches. But are these organisations talking about stack, about best of breed, about a tactical or strategic approach?
The fact is, the major vendors will speak about key customers who have bought into their stack; their vision of a fully integrated approach to identity. The reality is often somewhat different, with organisations having adopted parts of the stack on a tactical basis. As these then move into a more strategic phase, existing components are retained - even where this means using more than one manufacturer's products.
Identity Connects™ recognises this stance and looks to maximise the benefits which can accrue in line with a customer's business objectives, requirements and priorities.
Our definition of Identity Connects™ is:
"An established approach to successfully delivering identity and access management projects and realising business benefits."
This represents Enline's repeatable experience (IPR), in the projects we have successfully delivered to date and incorporates Enline's:
- Professional Services capability.
- Selected manufacturer technologies.
- Support capability.
- Internal knowledge base and banked IPR developed within our consultancy practice.
This approach is borne out of the successful design, delivery and subsequent support of Identity Management solutions since 1998. Enline plc has been a pioneer in this field accumulating knowledge on how to successfully implement IAM solutions and more importantly to know where the pitfalls are. Making correct use of the technology is vital and ensuring that solutions are not over-engineered is most important for the long term viability of the solution.
The Identity Connects™ approach leads with Professional Services, who then determine the appropriate technology to deploy and how. Once implemented our Technical Support team can provide a variety of support plans. This team currently provide 24x7x365 support for police national applications such as the IMPACT Nominal Index. The process within the two teams ensures not only sharing of knowledge and mutual support, but most importantly the collection and storage of intellectual property. This 'Bank of IPR' is constantly refreshed and is utilised when planning any new project.
Over the years Enline plc has delivered IAM solutions for over seventy organisations. The Enline Professional Services team has delivered solutions under the pressures of politically enforced timescales and testing physical environments. All projects are run to PRINCE2 standards and Enline will provide our own project managers or are happy to work with established ones.
