We are committed to reducing any harmful effects on the environment and continuous improvement in our environmentally conscious operations, striving to achieve a policy of reuse, recycle and sustainability.
Our environmental goals are to provide products and services that are environmentally sound throughout their lifecycles and to conduct our business in an environmentally responsible manner.
To achieve these goals, the company has established the following Environmental Policy. All employees are expected to support implementation of this Policy in accordance with their roles and responsibilities in the organisation.

- encourage partnership working
2.2 Additionally Enline aims to improve cost effectiveness, productivity and working conditions.
3. Aims
3.1 Waste Reduction
We are committed to reduce, re-use and recycle waste and all employees are informed of our commitment to waste reduction. We take the following steps to achieve this:
- Recycle waste including paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, tin, aluminium, IT and electrical equipment.
- Return printer cartridges to suppliers for re-use.
- Reduce printing and paper waste through monitoring systems.
- Re-use printed paper for internal work.
- Minimise paper use by storing information digitally rather than paper files.
- Operate a "minimal replacement strategy", whereby we extend the life of all computers, using old machines for our test bay, servers, or stripping them for spares.
3.2 Recycling
Enline aim to recycle resources and utilise recycled materials where possible. Recycling practices we undertake include:
- Use of 100% recycled paper for printing and stationary products where possible.
- Provide recycling bins for paper and plastics around the office and encourage all employees to make good use of them.
- Recycle all printer cartridges.
- All packaging used is recyclable and is re-used wherever possible.
- Use appropriate disposal and recycling routes for all Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment.
3.3 Energy and Water Saving
All Enline staff are made aware of the need to conserve energy as a part of their induction training. Our electrical equipment is energy efficient, particularly computer equipment.
We conserve energy wherever possible by:
- Switching off appliances when not in use.
- Using rechargeable batteries for all battery-powered appliances.
- Our offices are double-glazed throughout, and doors and windows closed except when ventilation is required.
3.4 Travel
Where possible Enline will use the most environmentally friendly method to conduct business related travel and endeavour to use public transport wherever possible. We utilise video conferences and webex communications for inter office and customer meetings where suitable.
3.5 Hygiene, Health and Safety
Adherence with this policy ensures compliance with the Heath and Safety Act 1974 and internal Health and Safety policies. This statement applies to all aspects of Enline’s operations. This will extend wherever possible to work undertaken with partners and other agencies (including contractors and service providers).
3.6 Product Stewardship
We design our products and services to be safe to use, require minimum use of hazardous materials, energy and other resources and to enable recycling or reuse. We work alongside partners such as Hewlett Packard who uphold an active recycling program, to which we are also committed. Regarding scrap materials, we use recycling companies to reclaim materials, or by working with companies whom refurbish and re-sell low end and obsolete equipment where appropriate.
3.7 Pollution Prevention
Chemicals of a corrosive or hazardous nature are not used and our cleaning products are environmentally friendly wherever possible. Where waste is produced this is disposed of in a safe and responsible manner.
4. Stakeholder Involvement
Enline provide clear and candid environmental information about the products, services and operations we supply to customers, employees and outside agencies as requested. We inform suppliers of our environmental requirements and encourage them to adopt sound environmental management practices as well as foster environmental responsibility among our employees.
5. Promote Sustainability
Enline provide training on our environmental policy within the induction process to educate and encourage all employees to contribute to environmentally friendly operations. All employees promote the reduction of paper waste through an effective strapline on the bottom of email sign-offs. Enline offers easy provisions to encourage green working practices.
6. Continual Improvement
We constantly seek to improve our environmental performance through monitoring systems, target setting, annual reports and policy reviews, completing checks on the issues set out in the aims stated above.
7. Legal Compliance
Enline works with manufacturers to ensure our products and operations comply with applicable environmental regulations, requirements and European directives, including the newly introduced WEEE directive.
